In our daily routines, we often encounter individuals experiencing homelessness. Many people aren’t aware of the typical challenges and aspirations these community members face. We at Good Sam aim to provide insights to better inform and empower the Southern Illinois community, fostering an understanding of the struggles faced by the unhoused, and more importantly, offering them the compassion and support they merit. Tip 1 – Recognize them and treat them as fellow humans. You don’t need to provide money to acknowledge or greet someone.
