WE NEED YOUR HELP

Many across the world are feeling the effects of the COVID-19 virus. Some of our fellow agencies in Southern Illinois have been forced to shut their doors, cut services and lay off employees. To say we might be forced to make decisions about laying people off or closing our doors; goes without saying, this is a day to day struggle. At the moment we have 21 people staying at the shelter with more waiting for help. The donations we receive from the community makes up a little over one-half of our budget. It is truly because of our supportive and caring community that we have kept our doors open since 1983.
Please consider making a donation via the Pay Pal link below, through The Network for Good via Facebook, or mail your donations to
Good Samaritan Ministries,
PO Box 506,
Carbondale, IL 62902

You may also e-mail our director at goodsam@mchsi.com and we can do a credit or debit card over the phone.

We are currently in need of donations of milk, bread, and cleaning products especially hand sanitizer. To protect our donors, staff and residents. If you visit the shelter, please call 618-457-5794 and we will meet you in the parking lot to receive your donation. Thank you for your support through these trying times.

LIGHT GIVERS

It is no exaggeration to say the contributors to Good Samaritan Ministries are actually “Giving Light”. Your donation assures that Good Sam can continue to provide services to the poor, both through the direct buying power of your donation and the matching-fun government grants require. All donations make a difference in many people’s lives. Good Sam operates under a very strict and currently limited budget. We make use of donated goods and services and depend on volunteers.

Expenses are monitored with care as we strive to be the best stewards of the money entrusted to us. Please take a moment to fill out the donation form and share your blessings with the poor this winter.
